Fraser Health Crisis Line seeking volunteers

10/02/2017 2:07:03 PM | 0 comments |
The Fraser Health Crisis Line is looking for volunteers to provide assistance to people who are experiencing emotional distress. No previous experience is needed as extensive training and ongoing support is provided. The next training sessions start June 3, 2017.
Crisis Line volunteers respond to a variety of issues including suicide, mental health concerns, family violence, grief, addiction, as well as loneliness and isolation. Those who call the crisis line are invited to talk about their situation and discuss strategies that may help them manage more effectively.  The service is also available to friends, family members and professionals looking for assistance in helping someone who is emotionally distraught.

The crisis line is in constant need of volunteers to ensure it provides service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to people in need.
The Fraser Health Crisis Line is 604.951.8855 or toll-free 1.877.820.7444.
