This week's kudos go to our amazing people at Chilliwack General, Abbotsford Regional, Royal Columbian and Eagle Ridge Hospitals, and Yale Road Centre and Home Health. Want to send a high five to your health care provider or Fraser Health team member? Just a note to extend my sincere gratitude to all of the staff at Chilliwack General Hospital for the exceptional care my wife received during her recovery from surgery. Special thanks to the staff on the 4th floor North, as well as Dr. Wiggins, Dr. Zroback and Dr. Bakker. You are appreciated.

Due to a fall, I recently required the services of the Abbotsford Regional Hospital Emergency Department. From the time I arrived by ambulance the care I received from all the medical staff was excellent.

Please pass my best regards to the Abbotsford Regional Hospital Emergency Department.

Thank you so much for your help and kindness.

Hi, I would like to praise surgical resident Aaron Hutchinson for going above and beyond the call of duty and providing exceptional care to his patients at the Royal Columbian Hospital.

I wanted to extend my family's thanks towards the nursing and care staff of the 6th floor, Yale Road Centre, for the care and attention they provided to my mother during her stay there.

The care I'm receiving is incredible here [at the Royal Columbian and Chilliwack General Hospitals] and I am so grateful for these trained doctors and nurses!

I would like to highly compliment Raji, the respiratory therapist who came to my home. She was very professional but also personable. I was impressed with her knowledge and happy that she referred to my doctor’s reports which she had available on her computer. She was very thorough in her examination and very positive in her comments. Thank you for sending her [from Home Health]. I would strongly recommend her for acknowledgment of her services [in South Surrey].

In August I discovered a lump on my left side and had no idea what is was. I went to a walk-in clinic and they sent me to Ridge Meadows Hospital for an X-ray. The Emergency Room doctor was not sure what it was so a CT scan was ordered for the following week.

I had the scan done on a Wednesday and Thursday afternoon got the call that I was going to be admitted. To make a long story short, I was operated on and had my left kidney removed. I was in the hospital for one week and then released.

The purpose of this email is let you know how well I was taken care of by everyone at Ridge Meadows Hospital. [From] the emergency doctor and staff, to Dr. Storvoski (urologist) that performed the surgery, to the nurses on the floor and [the staff who] kept my family informed the day of my surgery. I was treated so well and I thought someone should know. Also to the staff at home care that looked after me when I was released – a big thank you. They all did an awesome job.
