My Health Coach, Cathryn Smith, has worked in health care for over 30 years, starting her career as an RN in medical and dialysis units and for the past 22 years as an occupational health nurse with Fraser Health. Her role has included providing case management for injured and ill employees, immunizations, management of exposure to communicable diseases and blood and body fluid exposure for employees, and more recently bringing awareness to wellness and health promotion in the workplace including health coaching.
Cathryn has always been passionate about healthy living through a more holistic approach – being active, eating well, having good social connections and finding balance in our lives. Cathryn is also a trained Yoga teacher in Hatha, Yin and Restorative Yoga. She teaches friends and coworkers and has also developed a workshop for women entering midlife, Awakening to Midlife Wisdom, using yoga as a way to explore the many positive facets of this life transition.
Cathryn enjoys walking, cycling and traveling - preferably all at the same time. She tries to balance her active life with quiet time through yoga, meditation, reading and journaling.
